Audrey flat wedge sandals, inspired by the legendary Audrey Hepburn

A fun little perk of designing shoes is coming up with a name for the new style. I give a lot of thought to the name for every Angela Nuran style. Audrey Hepburn is iconic in the countless flats she wore. She totally rocked them! Little did I know when I created our Audrey style that a global pandemic would drive so many women to hold outdoor events. Nothing’s better for outdoor venues that a flat or a wedge, and my Audrey sandal is both a flat AND a wedge. Audrey is a beautiful, feminine, flirty silk sandal that’s perfect for an outside ceremony, whether it’s in a garden, a park, a beach, a mountainside or your backyard. A flat shoe won’t sink into the grass or sand like a heel will.

While all of our styles are known for being very comfortable wedding shoes, Audrey is especially so. High heels put more pressure on the balls of your feet. The higher the heel, the greater the pressure. So if you’re going to be on your feet a lot, which is likely at a wedding, just imagine how comfortable you’ll feel strolling around in a dreamy little flat shoe with a gorgeous sparkling brooch at the toe. Audrey’s stock brooch is the Marquis, but for an even more romantic (and more Hepburn look) think about getting our CZ bow brooch, named Beaux.

If you’ll be dancing, Audrey flat wedges are perfect for it. Nothing could be more stable on grass or uneven surfaces. The long crossing strap at the ankle inspired by ballet shoes is super comfortable, won’t choke or cut into your legs, and keeps your shoes securely on. Being a dancer myself, I give the danceability of my shoes great consideration when designing shoes. You won’t want to take these fabulous shoes off all night long. The dyeable silk means we can dye them any color you want. If the off white silk is already the perfect color for your wedding dress, then just keep in mind we can dye them after the wedding so you can wear them over and over for other events or even as sweet every day sandals. If they get really dirty from being worn outside, send them in for our clean and dye service. You won’t believe how amazing they’ll look when we’ve spiffed them back up for you!

Something else we’re super proud of is the exquisite handmade quality of all our shoes. Our repeat customers are familiar with the features of our shoes, but new customers will notice how well our shoes are made. They’ll love the thick, cushy padding that feels like walking on clouds. They’ll appreciate our jeweled brooches and ankle clasps that literally ARE made by a jeweler. We use kidskin leather linings and ultra soft, yet durable suede leather soles.
